Tribal Carved Ox Bone Wheel of Life Dolphins and Sterling Bail Pendant On Leather Cord Necklace

This is a magnificent and unique work of Bali Tribal art. The pendant is hand carved in Bone and depicts Wheel of Life Dolphins in ultra-fine detail. This beautiful piece measures 35 mm by 35 mm (or 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches) without the bail. Please note that our piece has a Sterling Silver ornate wide bail and comes on an 18” 3mm thick leather cord. The art of carving the Ox Bone (cherished for its strength and beautiful bleached white appearance) has been handed down for generations by Balinese master-carvers. It is a Tribal belief that all parts of the animal should be put to good use and no animals were killed or harmed to make this sacred piece of art. Please do spend a moment looking closely at the photos. You will be amazed by the intricate attention to detail. In Bali, the term for these items is "Sajen" the definition of which is an offering or item designed to please and draw favorable attention of the ancestors and the Divine.

This pendant hangs on an 18” high quality 3mm thick leather cord with a double-secure magnetic barrel and magnetic easy-to-use clasp. This cord is suitable for both men and women. You may choose from three different colors of leather cord: BLACK, TAN or DARK BROWN (almost black). The pendant is pictured on the black cord. Please let us know your color choice right after purchase or we will assume that it is the BLACK cord that you desire.
